#4: Joseph as a Slave
Joseph was the favorite child of his father, Israel, but that made his brothers jealous. They decided to sell him to some traders that were going by, and Joseph ended up as a slave in Egypt.Despite all of this, Joseph followed God. He worked hard for his new master, and was eventually promoted to the head of the entire house. Attracting the attention of his master's wife, she tried to seduce him, but he would not have it, because that would be sinning against God, and would be treating his master wrong. That made her angry, and she accused him of behaving improperly, and he was thrown into prison.
Although the story does have a happy ending, much of his life was difficult. He must have been wondering why these bad things were happening to him. Still, he didn't behave like a victim in his difficult circumstances, he did his best, and continued to follow God, despite what was happening to him.
